Looking for a taxi from St Lucia airport to Castries? First check which airport you're landing at, because St Lucia has two. From Hewanorra (UVF), where most international flights arrive, Castries is a 75 to 90 minute drive across the island, and a private transfer with us is a fixed $110 per car for up to three people. From George F. L. Charles (SLU), it's 5 to 10 minutes and $35. Book before you land and your driver is waiting with your name on a yellow sign.

"St Lucia airport" sounds like one place. For anyone heading to Castries, it's the difference between a five-minute hop and the full length of the island. We meet flights at both airports every week, so here's how to get the right ride sorted before you've even packed.
Look at your ticket for the three-letter code. It tells you everything.
| Airport | Code | Who flies in | Drive to Castries | Our fixed price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hewanorra International | UVF | Most flights from the US, Canada, the UK and Europe | 75 to 90 minutes | $110 per car |
| George F. L. Charles | SLU | Short regional flights from nearby islands | 5 to 10 minutes | $35 per car |
SLU sits at Vigie, right on the edge of Castries. You can practically see the city from the runway. UVF is at Vieux Fort, on the southern tip of the island, which is why the drive north takes a while.
From UVF we head north up the Atlantic side through Micoud and Dennery, climb into the rainforest over the ridge at Barre de l'Isle, then drop through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries. It's a good road with a lot of bends, and it's lovely in daylight. Plan on 75 to 90 minutes.
The last stretch into the city is the part that changes. On weekday mornings from about 7 to 9, and evenings from about 4 to 6, Castries traffic can add 15 to 20 minutes. We track your flight and plan around it, so you don't have to.
After a long flight, the last thing you want is to work out a price on the kerb, check whether it's in US or EC dollars and hope your bags fit. Booking ahead takes all of that away. It's how all our St Lucia airport transfers work:
From UVF it's $110 per car for up to three people, with $25 for each extra family member. Larger groups see their group price automatically in the booking form. Book the ride back at the same time and the round trip comes to about $200 instead of $220. One large suitcase per person is included, and extra large cases are $10 each, shown before you book.
Staying at Morne Manor it's the same $110, and Sandals Regency La Toc is $116. Landing at SLU instead? Every Castries pickup from there is $35.
A lot of Castries stays are apartments, guesthouses and villas on the hills above town, around Morne Fortune, Vigie and La Toc. The lanes are steep and some addresses are hard to spot at night, so send us your host's map pin when you book. That's also where the free grocery stop earns its keep. Our guide to villa and Airbnb airport transfers covers what else to send your driver.
For an international flight from UVF, leave Castries about 4.5 hours before departure, and a little earlier on weekday mornings when traffic heading out of the city is heavy. For a 2pm flight, that means being in the car by 9.30am. Our Hewanorra departure guide has the full timings.
Here's how a typical Castries pickup goes for us. A couple land on the afternoon flight into Hewanorra, walk out of arrivals and spot their name on our yellow sign. They're staying in an apartment above Vigie, so their host's map pin is already with the driver. On the way into town we stop at a supermarket for breakfast things and a few cold drinks, and about an hour and a half after landing they're unpacking, with the fridge already full.
