UVF Airport to Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa Private Transfer

Secrets St. Lucia is at Cap Estate, the northern tip of the island, roughly 80 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). Allow 80 to 95 minutes for the drive. The fare is $132 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver is inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road a few minutes after clearing customs. The rate is fixed when you book.

The drive from Hewanorra to Cap Estate

The route runs north up the Atlantic side of the island. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge that splits St Lucia, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries. The coastal highway carries on north past Choc Bay and Bois d'Orange to Rodney Bay.

The resort is beyond that. The road continues through Gros Islet and up into Cap Estate, where the lanes are residential, narrow in places and largely unlit after dark. That last section adds ten to fifteen minutes to a Rodney Bay run.

This is also a newer property, which matters more than it sounds. Mapping apps and older satellite imagery do not always show the entrance correctly, and drivers who do not run this corner regularly can end up circling. Ours know the turn. If you are landing in the evening, that is worth having.

Traffic, when it appears, is around Castries at weekday rush hours and near Gros Islet on Friday evenings.

Around Cap Estate

Cap Estate is the quiet end of St Lucia. It is residential and spread out, with hillside villas, the golf course and small bays below, and nothing within walking distance of the resorts.

Pigeon Island National Landmark is around ten minutes away, with the fort ruins and two sheltered beaches. Gros Islet village is a similar distance and holds its street party on Friday nights. Rodney Bay, with the restaurant strip, Baywalk Mall and the marina, is fifteen to twenty minutes south, and evening runs there are easy to arrange in advance.

One piece of planning advice for this end of the island. Soufriere and the Pitons are around two hours away by road, which makes a driving day trip long. Plenty of guests staying up here take a boat down the west coast from Rodney Bay instead, see the Pitons from the water and come back by sea. If you want the south, ask us and we will lay out both options.

How booking works

1. Pick this transfer, choose the pay-in-cash option, register and submit your details. The flight number field is optional at this stage.
2. You get a confirmation email straight away letting you know we have received the booking.
3. Someone goes through your details and confirms the booking, usually in under 30 minutes, and you get a confirmation email.
4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals with your name on a sign, loads the luggage and drives you up to the resort. Cash is settled at the end, once you are there.

I am flying into SLU George Charles Airport. Can you collect me?

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $40 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers. Select SLU under "Your airport" to see the price and book. Your driver tracks your flight and waits for you, with the same fixed price on the return trip.

It is a newer resort. Will the driver know it?

Yes. Mapping apps are not always current for Cap Estate, which is exactly why a driver who works this end of the island is worth having on an evening arrival.

How much longer is this than a Rodney Bay drop?

Ten to fifteen minutes. The road carries on through Gros Islet and up into Cap Estate after the Rodney Bay turn.

What is the best way to see the Pitons from here?

By boat, for most guests. It is around two hours each way by road from Cap Estate, so a catamaran down the west coast is often the better day.

Can you collect us for dinner in Rodney Bay?

Yes. Nothing is walkable from Cap Estate, so evening runs are worth booking ahead rather than arranging on the night.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track it and update the driver, who waits. There is no extra charge and the booking stands.

How do I pay?
