UVF Airport to The Landings Resort & Spa Private Transfer

The Landings sits on the Pigeon Island causeway at the north end of Rodney Bay, roughly 78 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 80 to 95 minutes. The fare is $132 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver is inside the arrivals hall with your name on a sign, takes the luggage and has you on the road within a few minutes of clearing customs, at the rate you booked.

Nothing is charged online and there is no deposit.

The drive from Hewanorra to the causeway

The route runs north up the Atlantic side. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge across the middle of the island, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries and continues up the coast past Choc Bay and Bois d'Orange.

Rodney Bay is not the end of this run. The road carries on through Gros Islet village and out onto the causeway that links the mainland to Pigeon Island, and the resort is on that strip with the sea on one side and its own marina on the other.

Two things affect the last ten minutes. Gros Islet is a village with narrow streets, so it is slow going at the best of times, and on Friday evenings the street party fills the area and the approach takes noticeably longer. If you land on a Friday afternoon, tell us and the driver will plan for it rather than sitting in it.

Around The Landings

The obvious advantage of this location is Pigeon Island National Landmark. It is a walk along the causeway rather than a drive, so the fort ruins, the trails up the two peaks and the two sheltered beaches are all available to you without organising transport.

Everything else is a short drive. Reduit Beach and the Rodney Bay restaurant strip are about ten minutes south, along with Baywalk Mall, supermarkets and pharmacies. Gros Islet village is closer still. Guests sometimes assume they can walk to dinner in Rodney Bay from here, and that is not realistic, so plan on a driver or a car for evenings out.

The water in front of the resort is calm and the marina takes boats, so day sails and charters can pick up close by. Soufriere and the Pitons are at the far end of the island, around two hours away, which makes them a full day trip.

1. Pick this transfer, choose the pay-in-cash option, register and submit your details. The flight number field is optional at this stage.
2. You get a confirmation email straight away letting you know we have received the booking.
3. Someone goes through your details and confirms the booking, usually in under 30 minutes, and you get a confirmation email.
4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals holding your name, sees to the luggage and drives you out to the resort on the causeway. You pay in cash once you are there.

I am flying into SLU George Charles Airport. Can you collect me?

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $40 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers. Can I walk to Pigeon Island?

Yes. It is along the causeway from the resort, which is the main reason people pick this spot over the rest of the north.

Does the Friday night street party affect my arrival?

It can. Gros Islet fills up on Friday evenings and the roads slow down, so tell us if you are landing that afternoon and the driver will allow for it.

Is the resort in Rodney Bay itself?

It is at the northern end of the bay, on the causeway. The restaurants and shops of Rodney Bay are about ten minutes south by road.

Can I walk to the Rodney Bay restaurants?

Not comfortably. It is a short drive rather than a walk, so most guests use a driver or hire a car for evenings out. We can arrange either.

What if my flight lands late?

We track it and the driver waits. There is no extra charge and your booking is unaffected.

How do I pay?

Cash to the driver when you arrive at the resort. Nothing is taken online and there is no deposit.
