UVF Airport to Cleopatra Villas Private Transfer

Cleopatra Villas is in the north of St Lucia, roughly 75 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 80 to 95 minutes. The fare is $132 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road minutes after customs. The rate is fixed when you book.

The drive from Hewanorra to the north

The route runs up the Atlantic side of the island. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge that splits St Lucia, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries. From there the coastal highway continues north past Choc Bay and Bois d'Orange.

Castries is where time is lost on weekdays, 7am to 9am inbound and 4pm to 6pm outbound, and Rodney Bay slows in the early evening.

Send us the villa name and unit, plus a contact number for whoever is handling your arrival, since northern lanes are residential and often unnamed.

Planning a week from the north

Most guests arrive with a list and no order to it. Here is the rhythm that works from this end of the island.

Day one is for the villa. You will have travelled a long way and the north has enough on the doorstep, so leave it at Reduit Beach and dinner in Rodney Bay.

Give a morning to Pigeon Island, ten minutes away, for the fort ruins, the climb to the peaks and two calm beaches. Add a catamaran day from the marina, which usually runs down the west coast with snorkelling and a look at the Pitons from the water.

Inland, the rainforest aerial tram and zipline park at Babonneau is about half an hour from the north and makes a good half day, particularly with teenagers.

Then give the south a full day rather than half of one. Soufriere, Sulphur Springs, Diamond Falls and the Pitons are 90 minutes to two hours each way, and it is a better day with a driver than behind the wheel.

Leave a day unplanned. Something will come up, usually a beach somebody tells you about.

Around Cleopatra Villas

Rodney Bay is the hub, with Reduit Beach, the restaurant strip, Baywalk Mall, supermarkets and pharmacies, ten to fifteen minutes away. Gros Islet holds its street party on Friday nights, and Castries and the cruise terminals are around twenty five minutes south.

4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals with your name on a sign, takes the bags and drives you north to the villa, where the fare is paid in cash.

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $40 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. How many days should we give the south?

A full one. Soufriere is 90 minutes to two hours each way, so trying to squeeze it into an afternoon means seeing the road rather than the Pitons.

Yes, the rainforest aerial tram and zipline park at Babonneau, around half an hour away, which suits families with older children.

Should we book excursions before we arrive?

The popular ones in high season, yes. Otherwise a day or two ahead is usually enough, and we can arrange drivers as you go.

What is worth doing on arrival day?

Very little. The beach and dinner nearby is plenty after a long flight, and everything else keeps until morning.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track it and update your driver, who waits. No extra charge and the booking stands.
