Type Airport Transfers

Group Size Up to 8 passengers
Blue Yonder Villa is in the north of St Lucia, roughly 75 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), and the drive takes 80 to 95 minutes. The fare is $132 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.
Your driver is inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road a few minutes after clearing customs. The rate is fixed when you book.
Nothing is charged online and there is no deposit.
The drive from Hewanorra to the north
The route runs up the Atlantic side of the island. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge that splits St Lucia, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries. From there the coastal highway continues north past Choc Bay and Bois d'Orange.
Castries is where time is lost, usually 7am to 9am inbound and 4pm to 6pm outbound, with Rodney Bay slow in the early evening.
Two things are worth arranging before you fly, because a villa is not a hotel. If your keys or gate code come from a management office rather than someone at the property, tell us and the driver will make that stop. And send a phone number for whoever handles your arrival, since villa lanes in the north are residential and often unnamed, and a call saves a lot of circling.
You will also drive past the Rodney Bay supermarkets on the way in. If you are self catering, that is the sensible place to stop rather than heading back out once you have unpacked. Say so when you book and the driver will allow the time.
Around the villa
The north is the busiest part of the island, but villas here sit on residential hillsides rather than in the middle of it, so almost nothing is within walking distance.
Rodney Bay, with Reduit Beach, the restaurant strip, Baywalk Mall, supermarkets and pharmacies, is the local hub. Pigeon Island National Landmark, with the fort ruins and two calm beaches, is a short drive, and Gros Islet village holds its street party on Friday nights. Castries and the cruise terminals are around twenty five minutes south.
For a villa stay of a week or more, a rental car usually makes sense. The roads in the north are flat and straightforward compared with the south, and it saves booking transport for every meal and beach trip. We can deliver the car to the villa so you are not collecting it at the airport on arrival day.
Soufriere and the Pitons are 90 minutes to two hours south, so treat that as a full day, ideally with a driver.

Frequently asked questions
I am flying into SLU George Charles Airport. Can you collect me?
Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $40 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers. Select SLU under "Your airport" to see the price and book. Your driver tracks your flight and waits for you, with the same fixed price on the return trip.
We collect keys from a management office. Can the driver stop?
Yes. Tell us at booking and the stop is built into the run rather than sprung on the driver on the day.
Where should we shop for groceries?
Rodney Bay, on the way in. The supermarkets there are the best stocked in the north and you pass them before you reach the villa.
Should we hire a car for the week?
For a villa stay, usually yes. Nothing is walkable, the northern roads are easy, and we can deliver the car to the villa rather than have you collect it after the flight.
Can you collect us for dinner during our stay?
Yes. Evening runs into Rodney Bay or Gros Islet are best booked ahead.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track it and update your driver, who waits. No extra charge and the booking stands.
How do I pay?
Cash to the driver once you reach the villa. Nothing is taken online and there is no deposit.
