UVF Airport to Cap Maison Resort & Spa Private Transfer

Cap Maison sits on the clifftop at Cap Estate, at the northern tip of St Lucia and about 80 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 80 to 95 minutes. The fare is $132 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road a few minutes after customs. The rate is fixed when you book.

The drive from Hewanorra to Cap Estate

The route runs north up the Atlantic side. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge that splits the island, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries. From there the coastal highway continues north past Choc Bay and Bois d'Orange to Rodney Bay.

The resort lies beyond that. The road carries on through Gros Islet and up into Cap Estate, then turns onto Smugglers Cove Drive, which adds ten to fifteen minutes to a Rodney Bay run. That drive serves more than one property: it descends to the resort at the bottom of the cove, while Cap Maison sits at the top on the cliff. Same road, different end, so name your hotel when you book and the driver stops in the right place.

Traffic is a Castries matter at weekday rush hours, with Gros Islet slow on Friday evenings.

Around Cap Maison

The position is a cliff above the sea rather than a spot on the sand, and that shapes the stay. The beach below is reached by a flight of steps cut into the cliff, which is fine for most people and worth knowing about if anyone in your group would rather not tackle it twice a day.

The restaurant here draws people from across the north, including guests staying elsewhere, so tables are worth booking ahead. If you are staying here and want to eat somewhere else during the week, evening runs into Rodney Bay or Gros Islet are easy to arrange in advance.

Pigeon Island National Landmark is about ten minutes away with its fort ruins and calm beaches. Gros Islet village holds its street party on Fridays, and Rodney Bay, with the restaurant strip, marina and mall, is fifteen to twenty minutes south. Soufriere and the Pitons are around two hours by road, so consider a boat trip down the west coast instead of driving it.

2. You get a confirmation email straight away letting you know we have received the booking.
3. Someone goes through your details and confirms the booking, usually in under 30 minutes, and you get a confirmation email.
4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He is at arrivals with your name on a sign, takes the bags and drives you up to the clifftop entrance. Cash is settled there, once the journey is over.

I am flying into SLU George Charles Airport. Can you collect me?

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $40 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Is the beach a walk or a climb?

A flight of steps down the cliff face. It is manageable for most guests, but it is a climb rather than a stroll, so plan around it if steps are an issue.

Two hotels use the same drive. Will the driver know which?

Yes, provided you name yours at booking. One sits at the bottom of the cove and this one is on the clifftop above it.

Can you take us out to dinner during the stay?

Yes. Rodney Bay and Gros Islet are fifteen to twenty minutes away and evening runs are best arranged in advance rather than on the night.

What is the best way to see the Pitons from up here?

By boat for most people. It is roughly two hours each way by road from Cap Estate, so a catamaran from Rodney Bay usually makes the better day.

What if my flight is delayed?
