UVF Airport to Soco House Private Transfer

Soco House is on Reduit Beach in Rodney Bay, at the northern end of St Lucia and roughly 75 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 80 to 95 minutes. The fare is $132 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road a few minutes after customs. The rate is agreed when you book.

The drive from Hewanorra to Rodney Bay

The route north runs up the Atlantic side. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge across the centre of the island, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries. From there the coastal highway continues north past Choc Bay and Bois d'Orange to Rodney Bay.

Traffic is the only variable. Castries slows between 7am and 9am and again from 4pm to 6pm on weekdays, and Rodney Bay itself fills up in the early evening as the restaurants open. The property is a small one on the beach side, so the driver takes you to the entrance and helps the bags in rather than leaving you on the avenue.

The other thing worth planning now rather than later is the journey home. Most departures from UVF leave in the middle of the day, and with check-in time plus 80 to 95 minutes of driving, a Rodney Bay pickup often lands somewhere between five and seven in the morning. We will work the time back from your flight when you book the return, but it is easier to accept early than to discover it the night before.

Around Reduit Beach

Reduit is the longest beach in the north and the hotel sits on it, so the water is a few steps rather than a shuttle ride away.

Everything else in Rodney Bay is close. The restaurant strip, Baywalk Mall, supermarkets, pharmacies and ATMs are all a short walk, which is unusual for St Lucia and the reason many guests here never book a car. The marina is a few minutes further, with charters and day sails leaving from it, and boat trips also pick up from the beach itself.

Pigeon Island National Landmark is about ten minutes north by road, and Gros Islet next door runs its Friday night street party. Soufriere and the Pitons are at the far end of the island, 90 minutes to two hours away, so plan a full day if you want to see them.

4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals with your name on a sign, takes the bags and drives you north to the hotel entrance, and the cash payment is made there at the end.

Is the hotel on the beach?

Yes, it fronts Reduit Beach directly, so there is no shuttle between your room and the sand.

Can I walk to restaurants?

Yes. The Rodney Bay strip, the mall and the supermarkets are all within a short walk, which is why most guests here manage without a car.

Can you arrange a trip to the Pitons?

Yes. It is a full day from this end of the island, and a driver for the day is easier than doing that drive yourself after a long flight.

What if my flight is delayed?
