UVF Airport to Sargas Villa Private Transfer
-
Type Airport Transfers
-
Group Size Up to 8 passengers
Sargas Villa is in the Soufriere area on the southwest coast, roughly 36 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 45 to 60 minutes. The fare is $94 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.
Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road minutes after customs. The rate is fixed when you book.
Nothing is charged online and there is no deposit.
The drive from Hewanorra to Soufriere
The road leaves Vieux Fort heading west, runs along the coast through Laborie and Choiseul, then turns north into the hills. It is sealed the whole way, but it climbs and bends almost continuously, which is why the hour is realistic despite the short distance.
The Pitons come into view as the road crosses the high ground above the bay, and there is a safe place to pull in for a photograph.
Daylight is worth thinking about when you choose flights. It gets dark here early and quickly, around six in the evening for most of the year, and there is no long dusk. Arriving while it is still light means you see the villa, the steps, the gate and the layout before you need them. If you have a choice between an afternoon and an evening landing, take the afternoon one. If you are landing late, that is fine too, your driver runs these roads at night and will get you to the door.
Paying the driver
Payment is in cash at the end of the journey, which catches out travellers who land with nothing in their wallet. There are cash machines at the airport and in Vieux Fort, and if you would rather draw money on the island your driver will stop at one on the way. Say so when you book and the time is built in rather than added at the end.
Around Sargas Villa
The Soufriere area is the most scenic part of St Lucia and the steepest, so nothing is within walking distance of a hillside villa.
Soufriere town is a short drive, with the market, bank, pharmacy, local restaurants and the jetty where water taxis run along the coast. Sulphur Springs, the drive-in volcano, is about fifteen minutes off, Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens sits beside the town, and the Tet Paul Nature Trail is a short run south for the two-Piton view. The Gros Piton trailhead at Fond Gens Libre is roughly twenty minutes away.
Malgretoute and Anse Chastanet are the nearest beaches, ten to fifteen minutes by road. Most villa guests book a driver for a day or two rather than a hire car, given the gradients and the limited parking at the attractions.

Frequently asked questions
I am flying into SLU George Charles Airport. Can you collect me?
Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $120 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers. Select SLU under "Your airport" to see the price and book. Your driver tracks your flight and waits for you, with the same fixed price on the return trip.
We will land without local cash. What then?
Tell us at booking and the driver will stop at a cash machine on the way. There are machines at the airport and in Vieux Fort.
Is it better to arrive in daylight?
It helps on a first night at a hillside villa, since you can see the approach and the layout. A late arrival is not a problem, it just means finding your way around in the dark.
What is the road like at the villa end?
Narrow and steep in places, as most of these hill roads are. We send a vehicle suited to the gradient.
Can you arrange trips during the stay?
Yes. A half day covering Sulphur Springs and Diamond Falls, or a full day further afield, is straightforward to set up.
What if my flight is delayed?
We track it and update your driver, who waits. No extra charge and the booking stands.
