UVF Airport to Tet Rouge Resort Private Transfer

Tet Rouge sits on a hillside above the south west coast near Choiseul, about 28 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). It is one of the shorter runs we do from the airport, around 40 to 50 minutes. The fare is $94 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver is waiting inside arrivals with a sign showing your name. He takes the luggage and you are moving a few minutes after customs, at the rate you booked.

The drive from Hewanorra to Tet Rouge

The road leaves Vieux Fort heading west and follows the coast through Laborie towards Choiseul. This is the quietest of the main airport routes, running through small villages with the sea below you and past the craft centre at Choiseul, where the wood carving and pottery the area is known for is made and sold.

Traffic is rarely the issue on this stretch. What slows it down is weather and surface, since heavy rain can leave debris on the road after a hard shower, so allow the upper end of the range in the wet season.

The last part is a climb. The turning leaves the coast road and the lane up is narrow and steep with tight bends, which is what gives the resort its position and its view. We send a vehicle suited to it, and the driver takes you to the door rather than the bottom of the hill.

Around Tet Rouge

This is the quiet end of the Piton country. You are on a hillside with the sea in front of you and Gros Piton to the north, and there is very little immediately around you, which is the point for most guests who book it.

That means a little planning. There are no restaurants or shops within walking distance, so guests either eat on site or arrange transport. Laborie, with its beach and village shops, is about ten minutes back down the coast, and Choiseul village is closer still.

The Gros Piton trailhead at Fond Gens Libre is about fifteen minutes away, which makes this one of the easiest bases on the island for an early start on the climb. Soufriere, Sulphur Springs and Diamond Falls are around 25 to 30 minutes north, so the main excursions are all comfortably within reach without staying in the busier part of the coast.

Guests who want to move around freely add a rental car or a driver for a day. We can deliver a rental to the property rather than have you collect it at the airport.

4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before you travel if we do not have it. He is at arrivals with your name on a sign, takes care of the bags and drives you up to the property, and you pay him in cash once you have arrived.

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $120 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Not within walking distance. Choiseul and Laborie are a short drive for village shops and a beach, and most guests eat at the property or arrange a driver for the evening.

How close is Gros Piton?

The trailhead at Fond Gens Libre is around fifteen minutes away, which is why hikers book this side. Guided climbs start early, so an evening arrival the day before works well.

What is the final approach like?

Narrow and steep for the last stretch off the coast road. It is straightforward in the right vehicle and takes only a few minutes.

Can I get to Soufriere and Sulphur Springs from here?

Yes, roughly 25 to 30 minutes north. We can arrange a half or full day driver if you would rather not drive it yourself.

How do I pay?
