UVF Airport to Sarrana Villa Private Transfer

Sarrana Villa is in the Soufriere area on the southwest coast, about 36 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 45 to 60 minutes. The fare is $94 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. The drive from Hewanorra to Soufriere

The road runs west out of Vieux Fort through Laborie and Choiseul, then north into the hills above the coast. It is sealed throughout and short in distance, but it bends and climbs continuously, so the hour is realistic rather than cautious.

The Pitons appear above the bay as the road crosses the high ground, and there is a safe place to stop for a photograph.

Two practical points for a villa arrival. Mobile signal in this part of the island comes and goes between the hills and the valleys, so the arrangement needs to be settled before you fly rather than sorted out by phone when you land. The second is weather. In the wet months the afternoon showers can slow the hill roads and leave debris on the surface after a heavy downpour. It rarely changes the arrival much, but it is worth allowing the upper end of the range, and worth building margin into the return leg for your flight home.

Around Sarrana Villa

The Soufriere area is the scenic heart of the island, and it is also the hilliest, so almost nothing is within walking distance of a villa here.

Soufriere town is a short drive, with the market, bank, pharmacy, local restaurants and the jetty where water taxis run along the coast. Sulphur Springs, the drive-in volcano, is around fifteen minutes, Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens sits beside the town, and the Tet Paul Nature Trail is a short run south for the classic two-Piton view. The Gros Piton trailhead at Fond Gens Libre is roughly twenty minutes off.

Malgretoute and Anse Chastanet are the nearest beaches, both ten to fifteen minutes by road. Most villa guests here book a driver for a day or two rather than hiring a car, since the roads are steep and parking at the attractions is limited.

Does rain affect the drive?

It can slow the hill sections in the wet months. We allow for it rather than promising a time we cannot hold, and it is worth a little extra margin on the day you fly home.

What is the last stretch like?

Narrow and steep in places, as most roads are in these hills. Our drivers run them daily and we send a vehicle suited to the gradient.

Can you take us out during the stay?

Yes. A half day taking in Sulphur Springs and Diamond Falls, or a full day further afield, is easy to arrange alongside the transfer.

What if my flight is delayed?
