Crystals is on the hillside above Soufriere, roughly 36 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF), with a drive of 45 to 60 minutes. The fare is $94 for the whole vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver meets you inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road minutes after customs. The rate is fixed when you book.

The drive from Hewanorra to Crystals

The road leaves Vieux Fort heading west, follows the coast through Laborie and Choiseul, then turns north into the hills. It is sealed all the way, but it climbs and bends almost without pause, so the hour is realistic even though the distance is short.

The Pitons come into view as the road crosses the high ground above the bay, and there is a safe place to pull in for a photograph.

The final stretch is the climb above the town, a steep narrow road with tight bends and little room to pass. It is short, and our drivers run it regularly, but it is the reason we send a vehicle suited to the gradient rather than whatever is free.

Where you are dropped is worth knowing in advance. The cottages are spread across the slope rather than lined up behind a lobby, so the vehicle stops at the entrance and the rest is on foot or with help from the property. If anyone in your group would struggle with steps, raise it when you confirm the room.

Around Crystals and Soufriere

You are above the town with the Pitons in view, which is the point of staying up here. It also means a short drive for almost everything.

Soufriere is about ten minutes down the hill, with the market, bank, pharmacy, local restaurants and the jetty where water taxis run along the coast. Going down for dinner is easy. The climb back is the part to plan, so arrange a ride rather than assuming you will walk it in the dark.

Sulphur Springs, the drive-in volcano, is roughly fifteen minutes away, Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens sits beside the town, and the Tet Paul Nature Trail is a short run south for the two-Piton view. The Gros Piton trailhead at Fond Gens Libre is about twenty minutes off. The nearest beaches, Malgretoute and Anse Chastanet, are ten to fifteen minutes by road or reachable by water taxi from the jetty.

4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals with your name on a sign, takes the bags and drives you up to the property. Cash is settled there, once you have arrived.

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $120 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. How steep is the road up?

Steep and narrow for the last stretch, with tight bends. It takes a few minutes and we assign a vehicle for it.

Where exactly will the driver drop us?

At the property entrance. The cottages sit across the slope rather than off a corridor, so the last part is on foot with help from the property.

Can we walk down into Soufriere?

Down, yes, in about ten minutes. The climb back up in the heat or after dark is another matter, so book a ride for the return leg.

What time should we leave for our flight home?

Allow the full hour for the drive plus your check-in time. We will give you a pickup time when you book the return.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track it and update your driver, who waits. No extra charge and the booking stands.
