UVF Airport to Sandals Halcyon Beach Private Transfer

Sandals Halcyon Beach is on Choc Bay, on the coast just north of Castries and about 65 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 70 to 85 minutes. The fare is $110 for the vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

The drive from Hewanorra to Choc Bay

The route north runs up the Atlantic side. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge that splits the island, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries.

This transfer goes through the city rather than around it, since Choc Bay is on the far side. That matters for timing. Castries slows between 7am and 9am and again between 4pm and 6pm on weekdays, and cruise ship days add traffic near the port. We plan the pickup around your landing time and the driver takes the best line through on the day.

The arrival itself is one of the easiest of any resort on the island. The entrance is directly off the coastal highway a few minutes past the city, and the property is flat and at sea level. There is no steep driveway, no unpaved track and no internal shuttle, so the vehicle stops and you are at reception.

Around Choc Bay

Choc is a long calm beach on the sheltered west coast, with the resort running along the sand. The setting is quieter than Rodney Bay but far closer to things than the Cap Estate hotels.

Castries and the cruise terminals are about ten minutes south, with the Central Market and Morne Fortune above the harbour. George F. L. Charles Airport at Vigie is only five to ten minutes away, which is worth noting if anyone in your group is arriving on a regional flight rather than at UVF. Rodney Bay, with the restaurant strip and Baywalk Mall, is roughly fifteen minutes north.

Nothing is walkable from the resort along the highway, so evenings out and shopping runs need transport, which we can arrange during your stay. If your package includes the resort exchange between the Sandals properties on the island, that is the hotel's own shuttle and separate from anything we run.

Soufriere and the Pitons are about an hour and a half south, which makes a day trip realistic.

How booking works

1. Pick this transfer, choose the pay-in-cash option, register and submit your details. The flight number field is optional at this stage.
2. You get a confirmation email straight away letting you know we have received the booking.
3. Someone goes through your details and confirms the booking, usually in under 30 minutes, and you get a confirmation email.
4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals with a name sign, takes the bags and drives you to the resort entrance. You pay in cash at the end of the journey.

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $35 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Very. The entrance is straight off the coastal highway and the grounds are flat, so there is no hill, no track and no internal shuttle between the gate and reception.

How far is Rodney Bay?

Around fifteen minutes north for the restaurants, marina and mall. Nothing is walkable from the resort itself, so plan transport for evenings out.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track it and update your driver. He waits, there is no extra charge, and the booking is unaffected.
