Jade Mountain sits on the hillside above Anse Chastanet, north of Soufriere and about 40 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). The drive takes 45 to 60 minutes. The fare is $110 and it covers the vehicle rather than each seat, for up to three passengers, with each extra passenger at $25 up to a maximum of eight.
Your driver is inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name. He takes the bags and you are on the road within a few minutes of clearing customs, at the price quoted when you booked.
Nothing is charged online and no deposit is taken.
The drive from Hewanorra to Jade Mountain
The road runs west out of Vieux Fort through Laborie and Choiseul, then north through the hills. It is sealed and in good order, but it bends and climbs the whole way, so allow the full hour rather than judging by the distance.
Coming over the ridge south of Soufriere both Pitons appear above the bay, and there is a safe place to stop for a photograph if you want one.
The property is past Soufriere town, not before it. After the town the road climbs north and the final stretch is the estate access road, roughly a mile of steep unpaved track with a rough surface and tight bends, then a further climb up the hill to the Jade Mountain arrival point. We send a vehicle that handles the gradient and the surface without difficulty.
One detail worth getting right at booking: Jade Mountain and Anse Chastanet share the same estate and the same access road, but they check guests in at different points. Tell us which one you are staying at and the driver takes you to the correct reception rather than the beach one below.
Around Jade Mountain and Soufriere
Below you are the two beaches, Anse Chastanet and the quieter Anse Mamin next to it, with the dive shop on the sand. It is a steep descent from the hillside, so guests use the resort's transport down rather than walking it in both directions.
Soufriere town is around ten minutes away, with the market, bank, pharmacy and local restaurants. The town centre is slow on Saturday mornings and on days when cruise passengers come ashore, worth knowing if you are heading out mid morning.
Sulphur Springs, the drive-in volcano, is about fifteen minutes off, Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens is close to town, and the Tet Paul Nature Trail gives the two-Piton view on a short walk. Water taxis run along the coast from the beach below.

How booking works
- Pick this transfer, choose the pay-in-cash option, register and submit your details. The flight number field is optional at this stage.
- You get a confirmation email straight away letting you know we have received the booking.
- Someone goes through your details and confirms the booking, usually in under 30 minutes, and you get a confirmation email.
- We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals with your name on a sign, takes charge of the luggage and drives you up to the resort, and payment in cash happens at the end.
Frequently asked questions
I am flying into SLU George Charles Airport. Can you collect me?
Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $120 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers. Select SLU under "Your airport" to see the price and book. Your driver tracks your flight and waits for you, with the same fixed price on the return trip.
Is Jade Mountain the same as Anse Chastanet?
They share an estate and the same access road, but they are separate resorts with separate receptions. Name the one you are booked into so the driver drops you in the right place.
What is the access road like?
The last mile off the main road is unpaved, steep and rough, followed by a climb up the hill. We assign a vehicle for it, which is worth checking with any company you book.
Can I walk down to the beach?
Down, yes. Back up is a hard climb in the heat, so most guests use the resort transport at least one way.
What if I land after dark?
The driver waits and we track the flight. The estate road is unlit, so the final stretch is taken slowly, but it is a route our drivers run regularly.
What time should I leave for a morning flight?
Allow the full hour for the drive plus airport time. We will suggest a pickup when you book the return leg.
How do I pay?
Cash to the driver once you have arrived. Nothing is taken online and there is no deposit.
Book your UVF to Jade Mountain transfer now and we will confirm it by email once someone has checked your details.
