UVF Airport to The BodyHoliday Private Transfer

The BodyHoliday sits on Cariblue Beach at Cap Estate, at the very top of St Lucia and about 80 km from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). Allow 80 to 95 minutes for the drive, which makes it one of the longest transfers on the island. The fare is $132 for the vehicle rather than per person, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers.

Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a sign showing your name, takes the luggage and has you on the road a few minutes after customs. The fare is fixed when you book.

The drive from Hewanorra to Cap Estate

The route north runs up the Atlantic side of the island. From Vieux Fort the Micoud Highway passes through Micoud and Dennery, climbs into rainforest at Barre de l'Isle, the ridge that splits St Lucia, then drops through the Cul de Sac valley into Castries. The coastal highway carries you north past Choc Bay and Bois d'Orange to Rodney Bay.

The part that catches people out is what comes after Rodney Bay. The resort is not in Rodney Bay. The road continues through Gros Islet and climbs over the headland at Cap Estate, past the golf course, before dropping to the bay where the resort sits. That final section adds ten to fifteen minutes on top of a Rodney Bay run.

Traffic, when there is any, is around Castries between 7am and 9am inbound and 4pm and 6pm outbound, and near Gros Islet on Friday evenings. If you have a treatment or a dinner booked for arrival day, send us your flight details and we will plan the pickup so you get there in time.

Around Cap Estate

Cap Estate is the quiet end of the island. It is residential and spread out, with villas and the golf course on the hillsides and small bays below. There is no restaurant strip within walking distance, which surprises guests who assumed Rodney Bay was next door.

That means planning for anything outside the resort. Rodney Bay, with its restaurants, marina and Baywalk Mall, is about fifteen minutes back south. Gros Islet village is closer and runs its street party on Friday nights. Pigeon Island National Landmark, with the fort ruins and two sheltered beaches, is only a few minutes away and is the easiest half day from here.

The Pitons and Soufriere are at the opposite end of the island, roughly two hours each way, so treat that as a full day with a driver rather than a morning out.

How booking works

1. Pick this transfer, choose the pay-in-cash option, register and submit your details. The flight number field is optional at this stage.
2. You get a confirmation email straight away letting you know we have received the booking.
3. Someone goes through your details and confirms the booking, usually in under 30 minutes, and you get a confirmation email.
4. We assign your driver and ask for the flight number about 24 hours before travel if we do not have it. He meets you at arrivals with your name on a sign, takes the bags and drives you north to the resort. The cash payment comes at the end of the ride.

I am flying into SLU George Charles Airport. Can you collect me?

Yes. SLU sits just outside Castries, and the fare from there is $40 for the whole vehicle, covering up to three passengers. Families of up to 5 (up to 3 adults and 2 children) add $25 per extra person, while groups of 4 or more adults, 3 or more children, or 6 or more people are charged our group rate, shown when you choose your passengers. Is the resort in Rodney Bay?

No, it is at Cap Estate, about fifteen minutes further north. Rodney Bay is where you go for restaurants and shops, not where you are staying.

How much longer is this than a Rodney Bay transfer?

Ten to fifteen minutes, since the road carries on through Gros Islet and over the Cap Estate headland after the Rodney Bay turn.

Can I walk anywhere from the resort?

Not really. Cap Estate is residential and spread out with unlit roads at night, so anything off the property means transport, which we can arrange.

Will I make an arrival day appointment?

Usually, if you land by early afternoon. Give us your flight number and we will work back from it when we set the pickup.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track it and update the driver. He waits, at no extra cost, and the booking stands.

How do I pay?

Cash to the driver on arrival at the resort. Nothing is taken online and there is no deposit.
